The Imperial Necklace hangs a plaque worked like antique filigree: faceted stones around a larger central one, decorative pearls and enamel outlines that follow the pattern.
In green the whole thing settles down: the enamel goes with the stones instead of competing with them, and the pearls stand out more than in the other two colours.
It falls just below the neckline and is worn on its own: this is a piece that needs no company.
